Roy's Redwoods Preserve
Tuesday, January 14, 2025, 10am – 2pm
In the heart of San Geronimo Valley, Roy's Redwoods Preserve is home to a vital old-growth redwood forest. Last year Marin County Parks broke ground here on one of our largest restoratin projects to date. This project is designed to restore the hydrologic function of the valley floor, improve the health and diversity of the forest, and create pathways for an immersive and accessible experience through the redwoods. Come explore the newly completed trails and learn about the ongoing project! We’ll spend the morning with Jon Campo, Marin County Parks Resource Planner, who will share details of the project. Then we’ll head up to the David Hansen trail for lunch and a walk through the woods. Total miles: 2. Elevation change: 350'. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.
Questions: Contact Shannon Burke
