Las Gallinas Birds

The ponds at the Las Gallinas water treatment facility are a fabulous place to get close looks at a variety of waterfowl, plus there are usually plenty of hawks hunting for rodents and other prey in the surrounding fields. Total miles: 2.5. There is little elevation change. Remember to bring binoculars if you have them and a snack. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.
