Sand Sculpture Building Day
Sunday, January 30, 2022, 10am – 12pm

Join rangers in building sandcastles at beautiful Upton beach. Sand, seaweed, driftwood, and shells are a few materials we can use to create unique masterpieces! Work as a group or solo. This is a great opportunity to let your creativity flow and enjoy the morning outside.
Due to the Omicron variant’s high infectivity rate, in situations where you cannot maintain social distance, we recommend that all participants wear a mask. Enhanced face coverings are strongly encouraged (e.g., KN95, N95, respirator masks, or double masks).
Please dress in layers. Remember to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. Friendly dogs are welcome but must be leashed. Adverse weather may cancel. Check the calendar on the morning of the event to see if it is canceled.
Registration is not required. For more information, contact Supervising Ranger Krista at KHanoff@marincounty.org.
Directions: Meet at the beach near the north parking lot at Stinson Beach. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema.
