Salmon of San Geronimo Valley

During certain times of the year, Pacific salmon make the journey up local creeks to breed. As we discuss the biology of these remarkable animals, we’ll keep an eye out for any fish. Environmental variables can impact their timing, but if there is recent rainfall, there’s a good chance we could witness spawning activity. Appropriate for ages 12 and older. It can be very cold by the creek, so bring warm clothing and a rain jacket; polarized glasses are helpful to see the fish. Bring binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel; if in doubt, text or call (415) 473-2816 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration required.
