Rock Spring

The many trails in this area traverse some of the most diverse and picturesque land in the county making this a lovely place to spend an early spring day. Resident birds should be actively readying for the breeding season and early wildflowers will grace the trailside. We'll keep an eye out for one of these early bloomers; the spectacular calypso orchid. Be sure to bring layering options as you never know if we'll be over, under, or in the fog. This trail includes rocky sections and large stone stairs. Total miles: 3. Elevation change: 525’. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.
