Ring Mt Preserve
Tuesday, April 15, 2025, 10am – 2pm

Truly one of the best wildflowers displays in the Bay Area, the fantastic floral diversity of this site makes this walk a “spring classic”. In addition to the many rare species found here, there are often expanses of goldfields, tidy tips, and other early bloomers; a multicolored carpet providing a foreground for spectacular views of the entire bay. We’ll be joined by Ring Mountain Steward, Amanda Magallanes, who will discuss the ongoing restoration efforts and research being done at this special preserve. This walk includes a few short, steep hills. Total miles: 2. Elevation change: 135'. Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Registration is required.
Questions: Contact Shannon Burke
