Ponti Trail Work Day

Meet at intersection of Alameda Del Prado and Curlew Way in Novato.
Saturday, March 7, 2020, 9am – 1pm

Join us in a volunteer work day to assist with construction of the new Ponti multiuse Trail. This project will convert an unsustainable and steep fire road in to a multiuse trail. The trail is located in the hills above Pacheco Valle. Trail work is very strenuous and involves bending, kneeling, and hiking on steep and uneven terrain. It is recommended for older teens and adults with a moderate to high level of fitness. Participants will receive a special Ponti trail T-shirt.
9am - Sign-in Registration, light breakfast snacks and take approximately 20 minute hike uphill in a shaded woodland to the work area.
12pm - Finish trail work and gather for lunch
12:30pm – Finish lunch and take approximately 15 minute hike downhill to the gate at Curlew Way.
Dress in layers you can get dirty, wear sturdy shoes, and bring water. Please bring gloves if you have them. Snacks, lunch and extra water will be provided.

In the event of heavy rain and/or high winds call (415) 473-3778 to find out about event status. In the event of cancellation, the program will be rescheduled.
To participate, you must register for the event by contacting Volunteer Coordinator Greg Reza at (415) 473-3778.
Directions: From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the Alameda Del Prado exit, head south approximately 0.9 miles to Curlew Way. Park in designated areas along Alameda Del Prado. Curlew Way is a private drive so please do not park in that location.
