McInnis Park Coastal Cleanup Day

Meet at the Canoe Dock at McInnis Park
Saturday, September 18, 2021, 9am – 12pm

California Coastal Cleanup Day is a state-wide cleanup event that focuses on cleaning California's shorelines, preventing plastics and other litter items from entering our waterways, and raising awareness about the harmful effects of trash in marine ecosystems. The event is part of International Coastal Cleanup Day, which is organized by the Ocean Conservancy and is the largest volunteer event in the world.
Remember to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. After the cleanup, there will be a free BBQ lunch and raffle at the Bay Model in Sausalito. All Coastal Cleanup Day volunteers are welcome to attend!
Directions: From Highway 101 in San Rafael take exit 456 for Smith Ranch Road east approximately 0.7 mile. Drive over the railroad tracks and immediately turn left to stay on Smith Ranch Rd. The park entrance is at the end of Smith Ranch Rd.

Extreme weather cancels and events may be canceled if Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeds 150 on AirNow.gov. Check the calendar on the morning of the event to see if canceled.
