McNears Beach Park

Get to know Marin County Parks and Open Space! Friendly rangers will be on hand to answer questions about nearby trails, parks, and upcoming events. While you chat with us, your kids will enjoy making and decorating chocolate-dipped marshmallow pops. We will provide all supplies. This event is bilingual (Spanish). No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Park entrance fee waived for participants. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel; if in doubt, call (415) 897-0618 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration required.

Directions: Meet at McNears Beach Park in San Rafael (201 Cantera Way). From Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the exit for Central San Rafael east. Take 2nd St east, which merges into 3rd St, and then turns into Point San Pedro Rd. Follow Point San Pedro Rd for 3.6 miles, turn right at Cantera Way, and follow to the large parking lot at the end).
