Agate Beach

Join Park Rangers at Agate Beach in Bolinas for a fun tide pooling experience during an exceptionally low "minus tide." The low tide won't last long, so arrive on time! We'll watch for mossy chitons, giant green anemones, octopuses, porcelain crabs, and black turban snails, making sure to respect the creatures we encounter! Remember to bring sturdy, waterproof boots and warm clothing. We'll provide warm drinks. This event is ideal for ages five and older. Children must be able to walk freely and not be carried while in the tidepool area. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel. Directions: Meet in the Agate Beach parking lot. From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd exit west to Olema, continue on Sir Francis Drake Blvd for 20 miles, turn left at Hwy 1/Shoreline Hwy, continue 9.1 miles, turn right at Olema Bolinas Rd, continue 1.3 mile.
