Indian Valley
Source: Marin County Parks
Meet at the College of Marin Indian Valley Campus in Novato, parking lot 6 (1800 Ignacio Blvd).
Sunday, September 12, 2021, 10am – 2pm

This preserve on the north side of Big Rock Ridge has a nice selection of trails that pass through a series of cool valleys and shaded hills, making it the perfect spot to spend a warm fall day. We'll climb to the ridge along switchbacks through ferns and bays. The trail back down is steep in sections but we'll enjoy beautiful manzanitas along the way. Distance: 3.5 miles. Elevation change: 400'.
Extreme weather cancels and events may be canceled if Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeds 150 on AirNow.gov. Check calendar or call (415) 473-6086 after 8am on the morning of the event to hear a recorded message if cancelled. We request that no pets (except service animals) attend. Remember to bring binoculars if you have them and a lunch.
For more information, contact Naturalist Shannon Burke at SBurke@marincounty.org.
Directions: From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the Ignacio Blvd/Bel Marin Keys Blvd exit west onto Ignacio Blvd approximately 2.5 miles all the way through campus.
