San Pedro Mountain Preserve

Join a ranger on this very strenuous hike to the top of ridge, where beautiful views await. Distance: 3.4 miles total; elevation gain: 1,450 feet. This out-and-back hike climbs steeply to 950 feet (in less than a mile), drops to 750 feet, and climbs again to approximately 1,000 feet. Hiking time: 2+ hours. All ages welcome. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Friendly dogs ok but must be leashed. Save time on the day of the event by signing in now. Illness, adverse weather, or poor air quality may cancel; if in doubt text or call (415) 497-1234 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Bilingual/Spanish capability.

Directions: Meet at the trailhead at the end of Woodoaks Drive in San Rafael. From Hwy 101, take exit 454 North San Pedro Road, stay right at the fork, follow east for approximately 0.8 mile, and turn right onto Woodoaks Drive. The trailhead is at the end of the road.
