The Estero Trail

Meet at the Estero Trailhead in Pt Reyes.
Sunday, August 15, 2021, 10am – 2pm

This lovely trail will take us through grassland, forest, and wetland habitats offering the opportunity to see songbirds, raptors, early migrating shorebirds, and, if we're lucky, maybe even leopard sharks taking advantage of shallow bay waters to breed.
Remember to bring lunch, and binoculars if you have them. Extreme weather conditions cancel: Call (415) 473-6086 after 8am on the morning of the event to hear a recorded message if cancelled. We request that no pets (except service animals) attend.

Directions: From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn right onto Hwy 1 and go 2 miles. Follow Sir Francis Drake Blvd 8.4 mi. Turn left at the “Estero Trail” sign follow .8 miles to trailhead parking.
