CANCELLED - Five Brooks to the Ridge

The influence of summertime moisture keeps this area lush with year-round mosses and ferns. We’ll climb to the ridge through a shaded forest of Douglas-firs and then find a nice spot for lunch. At this time of year it could be warm or foggy near the coast. Total miles: 5. Elevation change: 900’. Remember to bring an extra layer, lunch, and binoculars if you have them. No pets (except service dogs) are allowed. Be sure to check the calendar two hours before the event to confirm the status. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel.

Directions: Directions: Meet at the Five Brooks parking lot. DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 101 in Larkspur, take the exit for Sir Francis Drake Blvd west 20.4 miles to Olema. Turn left onto Hwy 1. Go 3.5 miles. Look for the Five Brooks sign, turn right onto the gravel road and follow to parking area.
