Source: Marin County Parks
Sunday, April 5, 2020, 10am – 1pm

This walk is for ages 18 and up. No longer a true island, this small preserve is still an oasis at the edge of urban Novato and the surrounding seasonal wetlands. The forest and grasslands here are home to a variety of birds (including many breeding raptors), reptiles, insects, and wildflowers. Remember to bring binoculars, if you have them.
Rain may cancel. If questionable weather, call (415) 473-6087 after 8am on the morning of the event to hear a recorded message if cancelled. We request that no pets (except service animals) attend.
No registration is required.
Questions: Contact Shannon Burke (415) 473-6086.
Directions: From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for Atherton Ave east 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Olive Ave and left onto Deer Island Ln. The gate is on your right.
