Abbotts Lagoon

We’ll take advantage of the outer reaches of the county to enjoy the numerous species of birds that are found overwintering along the coast this time of year. This is a beautiful area and a great place to see raptors, shorebirds, and waterfowl that aren’t as prevalent in other parts of Marin. This walk is offered in partnership with Point Reyes National Seashore.

Due to the Omicron variant’s high infectivity rate, in situations where you cannot maintain social distance, we recommend that all participants wear a mask. Enhanced face coverings are strongly encouraged (e.g., KN95, N95, respirator masks, or double masks).

Remember to bring a lunch and binoculars if you have them. We request that no pets (except service animals) attend. Adverse weather may cancel. Check the calendar or call (415) 473-6086 after 8 am on the morning of the event to hear a recorded message if canceled.

Registration is not required. For more information contact, Shannon Burke at SBurke@marincounty.org.
