Habitat Restoration: Thistle be Fun at Rock Spring Trailhead - Hosted by California State Parks
Join One Tam for a morning of habitat restoration! We will be removing weedy Yellow Star Thistle in the botanically rich grasslands between Pantoll Rd. and Ridgecrest Blvd. No experience is necessary, but please note that we will be working on uneven ground. Tools and snacks will be provided; please bring a water bottle, footwear appropriate for variable terrain, long pants, and sun protection. This event is suitable for ages 12 and up; volunteers younger than 18 be accompanied by an adult. If this is your first time volunteering, please come 15 minutes early to fill out required paperwork.
Meeting Location: Rock Spring Trailhead, at the intersection of Pantoll Rd & Ridgecrest Blvd. Parking is free. Look for the One Tam truck.
